This world is complex, and the internet reflects this on a screen, an electronic mirror. It can show you the pitfalls of its abundance and its opportunities in the same sentence. It all depends on the viewer, to some extent. Yet some content does not challenge the viewer and finds it sufficient to keep them there.
It will eat you, as you eat it, indefinitely smiling and singing warm coos, as if to still a baby. Thoughtless, with it you will merge, and slide into oblivion.
The numb feeling of those videos or blogs wraps the consumer up in its warm fold, like a venus flytrap, so sticky and pretty of hue inside, captivating in both beautiful and evil ways. The fly must know to look and not touch, in order to enjoy this creature for its beauty and not its pitfalls.
To create something in which someone can get lost is a beautiful thing, not necessarily evil. Evil comes from what we choose to get lost in, shown by what we take out of it, if we ever leave.
If there’s something to be remembered, it is that poison is alluring, and the best of it comes in vials thick with sugar.
Live your way,
Noah
