1 | I’m Going on an Adventure

At the end of this month, I’m leaving the United States, and I don’t know when I’ll be back.

I’ll be working in Italy this summer, a place I fell in love with at eighteen, a place full of friends I haven’t seen in over two years, but after that, my plans are unclear.

Croatia, Asia, Turkey, The Middle East, New Zealand…

Who knows?

I’ve traveled a fair amount, mostly in Europe…

But I’ve never done something like this. I’ve always left with my return ticket purchased. This time, I don’t have one.

It’s going to be a crazy, unpredictable ride. As of now, I have a ticket to Paris and one to Bangkok from Germany. All of my work has brought me here, less than a month away from my departure. The feeling is on the edge of my fingertips, a buzzing anticipation, a wave as it crests.

I’m bringing my camera, my laptop, clothes, that’s it.

The last time I attempted this it fell apart, and some piece of me still expects this whole thing to get washed away by the world again. I guess we’ll have to see.

Until then, I have lots to wrap up at home and tons to prepare. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it in the following weeks.

Live your way and be no other.

With much excitement,

Noah
