I wrote this a few months ago, and I thought I’d share it now that my work is paying off. 🙂
January…
This year I’m bouncing around jobs as a social working child parking meter, in school and writing as best I can, saving all my checks until I get to the starting line. It’s all temporary, all a hesitation and a pitstop in my life, just a means to an end, a station between the ride.
Saving money and working hard demands a reason. Mine is a change in lifestyle that I don’t think I can make living where I’m at, geographically and financially dependently. Some people seek a unique type of freedom. To be unhinged and set loose across the world, to live their way. This is a vital ingredient in their recipe for life, and it’s part of mine. To get there takes a lot, I hear.
So, this year I’m scraping things together: blog posts, money, patience, for the idea of something good at the end of the line. Sometimes, it’s okay to be goal-oriented, to push yourself, so long as you feel it’s right.
Live your way,
Noah
