Paralyzed in Meta

With my blog and YouTube channel, it’s hard to delineate one subject or niche to drill into.

I have a lot going on, and like everybody else, I’m just a mess of a bunch of things. Do I write about playing music or writing, fitness or vocation, or do I just say f*ck it and travel?

It kind of goes the same way in life. There are so many choices that it can seem paralyzing, from day-to-day decisions to ideas as vast as an entire life’s purpose (whatever that is).

With the times how they are, it’s especially easy to become hyper-aware of the world, of ourselves, and others. I haven’t had social media for two years, but a week or so ago I downloaded TikTok and saw how focused some people were with obscure moments (i.e. talking to a neighbor, going to the grocery store).

Could that spotlight on our lives be an excuse or reason to over think it all?

The only reason to make a choice is to try and change things or keep them the same, and the best part is we can nearly always make that choice again or pivot, like little life ninjas on a tightrope.

Lastly, I’m sure nobody’s ever lived life figured out.
Seriously, look at Leonardo Da Vinci. He had like ten jobs.

So just remember, life’s not a race or one decision; it’s a balance
(much like the force, from Star Wars).
