Finding my Direction

Choosing one niche to focus on is hard for me.
My lifestyle and interests don’t fit into one thing. I’ve written about travel (and plan to again when I can get back out there), my life, inspiration, creativity, productivity, vocation, really anything I could fit in the pot.

How do I balance them?

Once, I listened to Alan Watts talk about finding life’s center. He said it would be different for everyone, where they begin and end. Once, I listened to somebody describe certain emotions as working with mercury. They’re completely evasive and slippery, like oil on water. This is how I view my interests, and it’s how I view life generally.

So what is in it for you, my reader?

I don’t know any secrets, and I’m too elusive to write tips or top ten lists. I’d say that perhaps my posts and stories could be part of you finding your center, but that’s too overblown. To vaguely quote my favorite book: so it’s the last resort then, the truth. . . .

You’re here because we both don’t know anything, even if we think we do. There is no “having it all figured out,” and it wouldn’t be fun if there was. All anyone who’s honest can admit is that we’re both here, looking for a way to enjoy the ride.

Live your way,

Noah
